Russell grew up in Royal Oak, MI and moved to Kingston, NY in 2010. He had an immediate and permanent connection to the idyllic landscapes of the Catskills and the Upper Hudson Valley. In 2012, he moved to New York City to further his career with Riverside Memorial Chapel and Frank E. Campbell. This unique blend of urban energy and rural tranquility has shaped his approach to life, service, and his deep appreciation for diverse human stories.

Russell's journey in the funeral service industry began with a profound desire to make a difference in people's lives during their most challenging moments. This was confirmed when he lost his younger brother in 2016. He recognized the need for more transparency and choices when it came to end-of-life care decisions. His mission is clear - to provide families with all available options, ensuring they have the knowledge and support to make the choices that best reflect their loved one.

Outside the funeral home, you'll often find him cycling through the city streets, finding solace in the rhythm of the ride and the vastness of the urban landscape. Additionally, Russell enjoys the challenge of renovating a 1792 farmhouse in Old Chatham with his partner and son; breathing new life into a piece of history and connecting with the timeless beauty of the region.
